The annual event is all about what the attendees are wearing on the red carpet and this year Ms Air’s dress was the one on everyone’s lips. She adorned a custom made peach wrap dress that boasted a touch of tech in the lighting panels. The much talked about gown, made for House of Fraser, was designed by Rebecca Street.

So who is Rebecca Street? She is a British designer based in London. Street established a name for herself in the world of  luxury design and has become known for creating magnificent showpiece dresses. Her designs are all about sculpting and draping combined with structure, texture and fit.

Street’s own-label is sold at Harrods, Liberty, Browns, Browns Bride and Rous Iland. She has also collaborated with international designers that include Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Giles Deacon, Matthew Williamson, Mary Katrantzou, Richard Nicoll & Sophie Hulme.

With an enviable client list of Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst, Keira Knightly, Michelle Williams, Lana Del Rey, Rebecca Hall, and Naomi Campbell, we can only hope that Rebecca Street’s moment in fashion technology is not a one off.

Rebecca Street, the FashionTech industry could use more of you, so we wait with baited breath to see what else you will entice us with.
