The event grabbed our attention because it promises to quench our thirst of gadgets, hacking, design and fashion technology. Opening its doors on Tuesday 5th May until Thursday 7th May, #rp15 is the place to be seen and to try everything first-hand at their #FASHIONTECH Lab.

Those who attend will be kept busy with workshops, talks, speed meetings  and exhibitions. Besides fashion, day 2 and 3 will focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) and revolve around wearables in sports and medicine. The events on those days will cover a wide range of issues whilst bringing together an array of industry experts from scientists to fashion designers.

We have pencilled in our diary a session hosted by Sara Bonomi from the 3D printer manufacturer formlabs. We look forward to hearing her speak on the “future of 3D printing in wearables and fashion”. The hands on session will also give us a personal look at the much talked about but yet to be seen by us, 3D printer.

For those who are attending, we highly recommend that you make time to go and see Lisa Lang’s “Can You Explain FashionTech to Me?” session. It will give you an initial taste in topics surrounding fashion and technology. Lang is the founder and CEO of the ElektroCouture agency. She will be in the company of Mike Betts from the AKQA agency and feminist fashionista Ninia Binias.

Have you still not got your ticket? Want to come along? Tickets can be requested here.
