Edible clothing? I was not quite sure whether such a thing should be considered smart clothing. I mean how smart is it to be able to eat your clothes? I guess it’s a great way to cut down on waste.
Recently launched, the menswear collection, made up of button-up formal shirts, was the brainchild of the country’s Clothing Research Centre. Composed of edible materials including high-grade protein, amino acids, fruit juice, magnesium, iron and calcium, the collection also boasts “intelligent sleeves” that allegedly monitor the health of the wearer.
Inspired to provide clothing for an those who enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, outdoor exploration, and mountain climbing, I quite like the idea of their smart coat which is capable of circulating a cooling liquid through the garment. But I am not sure about the clothing designed to dissolve in water!
