Wareable Tech Awards 2018 Announces Winners

It is time to shine a spotlight on 2018's most important innovators from the world of wearable tech.

As one of the Wareable judges, I am excited to announce the winners of the Wareable Tech Awards 2018. For those unfamiliar with the Wareable Tech Awards, they were designed to celebrate the best devices of the past 12 months and shine a spotlight on the most important innovators in the hugely exciting world of wearable tech.

First of all, Apple fans will be happy to hear that the Apple Watch Series 4 was not only named Wearable of the Year and it was also named the Smartwatch of the Year. Accolades were also given to Fitbit Charge 3 which won Fitness Tracker of the Year; the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus which was named Sports Watch of the Year and the VR/AR Innovation of the Year went to Oculus Go.

Apple Watch Series 4 named Wearable of the Year and the Smartwatch of the Year. 

This year the Fashion Tech of the Year award went to Fossil Group’s Gen 4 smartwatches, which includes Michael Kors and Skagen. Stryd and its running power meter won Speciality Sports Wearable of the Year with Strava picking up Platform of the Year for the second year running. High Commendations were given to Magic Leap’s One AR headset and Fitbit’s Versa.

Lastly, Apple also scored the Health Tech of the Year Award for its new ECG feature on the Watch Series 4, with Motiv and its fitness tracking smart ring winning Breakout of the Year.
