FashNerd.com has been a fan of #FASHIONTECH Berlin for some time now. We appreciate how they have managed to define and shape the fashion tech space in a way that makes it accessible to everyone.
For those unfamiliar with the event, #FASHIONTECH Berlin had their first conference back in January 2015. Organized by the PREMIUM GROUP, #FASHIONTECH Berlin 2017 has evolved to become one of the most influential fashiontech events in Europe. Running alongside Berlin Fashion Week, it continues to strengthen its reputation for being quite topical in their combination of fashion design and technology, this season they have invited industry insiders and future visionaries to focus on the business and practical solutions within the merger of fashion and technology.
Interactive and Experimental
This year #FASHIONTECH Berlin will be made up of keynotes, start-up pitches, masterclasses showcasing the hottest tech trends and an exhibition. The content this year is all about the best wearable devices, smart textiles, e-Commerce and retail tech and digital marketing and communication. Founders Ole and Anita Tillmann, have invited speakers David Fischer (Highsnobiety), Antje Hundhausen (Deutsche Telekom), Cloudy Zakrocki (Refinery29), Jonas Thaysen (Facebook), Christian Bracht (Sleek Magazine) and Marc Schumacher (Liganova), as well as Jerome Cochet (Zalando Media Solutions), Hywel Davies and Melanie Ashley (Central Saint Martins) and Sharmadean Reid (WAH Nails).
Each season, the exhibition gets better and better. Located on the fourth floor of Kühlhaus Berlin, this July 2017, the #FASHIONTECH Berlin exhibition focuses on the journey of discovery through innovative retail solutions and intricately designed wearables. Curated by Deutsche Telekom, attendees will get to indulge in virtual reality and immersive arts experiences by The Mill and wearable labels Jasna Rok and ElektroCouture.
