Come Ray or Shine, Misfit Delivers An Array of Colours

Misfit took the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach at this years IFA in Germany. Instead of giving us a new design to drool over, they introduced an array of makeover colours for their already existing Shine 2 and Ray activity trackers.

For those who expected something shiny and new, take comfort in the fact that the rainbow of colours on offer will mean that you can create over 80 potential ways to wear Shine 2, and 150 combinations for the Ray fitness tracker. On the range of colours Preston Moxcey, General Manager of Misfit shared “We’ve always been focused on providing our customer with unique options for personalising her wearable, and now she has almost limitless options. Between Shine 2 and Ray, there’s something for every style.”

In case your mind is a bit fuzzy on what Misfit’s Ray and Shine 2 have to offer, let us recap. The Ray, labelled a ‘an evolutions in activity tracking’, was touted as a blend of performance and versatility. It delivers fitness and sleep tracking, distance traveled, calories burned and activity tagging. It practically never needs charging and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. The Shine 2 automatically tracks steps, distance, calories, and light and restful sleep. It brags vibration alerts for call and text notifications, movement reminders, and alarms. There is a smart button enabled to control connected household devices. The swim proof wearable has an anodized aluminum disc with multicolor LED progress display is non-charging, and with replaceable batteries it can last up to 6 months.

With prices yet to be announced we expect the new offerings to financially set you back around $100 or less (dependent on the currency of where you reside). The trackers and their new colour selection will be available at Misfit.com and Apple stores soon.
