Project Jacquard, Making FashionTech Seamless

Meet Project Jacquard, a brand new system that weaves technology into fabric, which is then used to create a smart garment. Project Jacquard allows designers worldwide to incorporate touch sensitive textiles into their garment, making technology less obvious and more seamless. This technique is opening up possibilities for brands and creators to not need any knowledge of technology in order to make full use of it.

Project Jacquard was presented during Google’s I/O Developers conference last week where google announced teaming up with San Francisco based Denim company Levi’s. Although everything is still in the demo stage we are feeling impatience about what this FashionTech tag team will create and can’t wait to see the technology being used in everyday clothing.
