AVANTEX Paris, Conquering New Markets And Shaking Up The Future of Fashion

A High-tech textile trade show that answers the needs of the entire gamut of “Fashion Tech”.

AVANTEX Paris seems to be the place where the fashion tech community gathers to get connected and build relationships. First launched September 2015 and organised by Messe Frankfurt France, the trade show’s focus is on high-tech fabrics.

Development of the Textiles Industry

Believing that technology should not only enhance fashion, but that it should also serve the consumer, the textiles fair attracts over 19,500 exhibitors and 477,000 visitors a year. This year, AVANTEX Paris, has chosen 26 exhibitors, who are representative of the international scene that is so vital to development of the textile industry thanks to new technologies that herald tomorrow’s fashions. Highlighting intelligent, connected fabrics and materials which combine nanotechnology, AVANTEX Paris’ innovative exhibitors are selected by the trade fair’s committee who are on the look out for at least three innovative functions and/or unpublished patents from the applicants.

Conquering new markets and leading a new revolution, AVANTEX Paris is now in its 5th session. On their success so far Michael Scherpe, CEO of Messe Frankfurt admitted, “I wanted to bring Avantex’s vision of uniting high-tech companies with fashion product designers and managers to Paris, the capital of fashion. The market is now mature and I am thrilled to be launching Avantex”.

The Avantex x MatériO’ forum perfectly highlights the textile production and know-how. A figurative assembly line illustrates the integration of innovative and futuristic materials into the everyday technical consumption.
