So you want to buy a wearable but you do not know where to start and you are unsure of the brands available on the market, leaving the question, where does one begin? Start-up company Lumoid has come up with a rental concept that allows you to take home a wearable short term. With a selection of the newest styles on the market available to try out, including basic smart watches, drones and other photography gear, the wearable world is suddenly your oyster.
How it works is that, if you would like to buy a health wearable but you are not sure which one works best for you, Lumoid allows you to order five different health trackers online to try at home for 7 days. With choices that include big brand names like Misfit and Jawbone, you can try them out and decide which one tickles your fancy.
If you decide none do, you can return them all back for a $20* handling fee that pays for them to be shipped back to Lumoid. So what is the catch? Well you wont be able to test run every wearable brand on the market and there is also the chance that it would have been worn by someone else (eeeeck) but the upside is that you will be able to ‘rent, try and buy’ a fitness gadget that is right for you.
