Take a Flutter With A Skirt Controlled By Your Brainwaves

Imagine a garment that reacts to your brainwaves. I know, I know, it all sounds a bit science fiction, but New York based wearable technology designer Birce Ozkan and interaction new media artist Betty Quinn, have successfully managed to combine fashion and technology in a stylishly interactive way.

Their creation is the Enlightenment skirt. It has been designed with a statement turquoise butterfly that flaps its wings by visualising its wearer’s brainwaves. Watch the skirt flutter like crazy the calmer you remain. It works by measuring your brain waves with an Neurosky EEG headset, which then sends data to two hidden servo motors powered by Arduino micro. Can’t get your head round it?
