Apple Music Fashion Collab With Alexander Wang

When it comes to the merging of fashion and technology, one route that brands are taking to entice consumers is that of fashion channels. This trend has become evident in the launch of channels like Amazon’s Style Code Live and before that Apple’s  Made to Measure.

More recently, Apple have decided to continue their conquering of fashion by partnering up with the cool, calm and collected Alexander Wang to launch a fashion channel on Apple Music. The collab will introduce us to a series of playlists curated by Wang: Chill, Hype and Vibe.

Talking to Vogue, Wang explained the meaning of each playlist. The Chill playlist is designed to be listened to while decompressing or during a night in. Artists featured in it include Rhianna, Drake, and Juicy J. The Hype playlist is meant for the exact opposite kind of days as the Chill playlist. Wang says that the Hype playlist includes songs that “kick up the energy” by artists like Diplo, Lil Jon, and M.I.A. Finally, the Vibe playlist is a mixture of both and includes A$AP Rocy, Rich Homie Quan, and Meek Mill.

To compliment the playlist, Wang and Apple have released a video called “When Fashion Gets Turned Up.” It is a 30-second video that shows Wang setting up for a party but ultimately falling asleep before it actually starts.

So it is with a nod from the fashion tribe, that you can now indulge in some Wang-spiration on his Music channel here To find out more on Apple Music Fashion, click here.
