Styling Ungaro X Omate

Styled By Muchaneta Kapfunde | @WearTechStylist

As the #WearableTechStylist enters it’s fifth month of styling tech, we still find ourselves full of glee over collaborations and Omate’s partnership with famous fashion house Emanuel Ungaro is no different.

When Ungaro met Omate

Together they have given fashionable birth to a ring that was  inspired by the iconic Diva perfume introduced by Emanuel Ungaro in 1983. It is ring designed to empower women who are technologically inclined. The fashion tribe will be able to stylishly appreciate the convenience of wearing a ring that will connect them to their inner circle.

This is a ring that is all about the “less is more” mantra. It is the perfect accessory for a generation that demands trendsetting wearables. Created on  the Omate platform,  users would have to download the Omate iOS app which will allow the to filter through the numerous messages and notifications that they receive. Filtering involves creating a pre-selected contact list, and should anyone on that list call or text you, you will get a subtle vibration as a form of notification.

The Ungaro ring runs on a Nordic Semiconductor that is built around a 32-bit ARM Cortex M0 CPU. Security is enhanced through Cypheme smart label technology. Available in gold and silver, the ring brags an assortment of gemstones and an asking price that starts from $500 -$2,000.
