Will.i.am- “For The Dreamers Who Bring Tomorrow Today”

Ok, ok, this might be old news but I have only just got my head around Will.i.am naming former Vogue Editor-at-large Godfather to i.amPULS- his very own fashtech baby.

The meeting of two minds, technology and fashion, is something that has been taking place a lot in the wearable tech world. There is Apple who bought in former CEO of Burberry Angela Ahrendts  and Case-mate who worked with fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff . Therefore it is only natural that Black Eyed Peas front man would bring on board his very own fashionable muse- Andre Leon Talley.
Formerly at Vogue then Zappos Couture, Talley has now been named the new fashion and style director of Will-i-am’s  i.amPULS. Unveiled last month to the press, Talley told WWD“He is one of the most positive, charismatic [people] and is a great visionary and philanthropist”

He continues, “We have been talking since September, and he invited me to San Francisco to speak at Dreamforce, when he presented the new product to a room of 5,000 people.”

It has been two and half years since Will.i.am decided to come up with an entire wardrobe of wearable tech products. The i.amPULS bracelet, similar to a smart watch or cuff, boasts a screen that allows the user to make calls, send texts, post on the social media, play music and track their fitness.

Although an unlikely partnership, we are confident that with Talley’s extensive fashion experience and Will.i.am’s natural flair for style this will be a wearable tech line that will finally get the fashion world on board.
