DUX Collaborates With stellé To Launch a Bed With Alexa Built-in

Meet Dux, the bedtime concierge that handles everything from dimming the lights and guiding your evening meditation, to changing the temperature for ideal sleeping conditions.

Imagine a bed with Alexa built into it. Well, this is something that Swedish company Duxiana has managed to bring to the bedroom. Working in partnership with stellé, an award-winning smart speaker company, the luxury bedmaker has successfully blended old-world craftsmanship with intelligent speaker technology.

On the bed, which is currently being showcasing at CES 2019, Ed Curry, president of DUX North America said: “Too often tech is a distraction at bedtime, but with the launch of our bed that has Alexa built into it, we’re changing that. Our goal is to combine our expertise in sleep science with voice-activated technology that delivers seamless – and effortless – bedtime routines.”

Wayne Ludlum, president and co-founder, stellé added: “Design should create an emotional connection with the product and the brand. And we’re thrilled to collaborate with DUX to bring voice and technology into the bedroom.”

The DUX/stellé’s sleek bed works with a DUX app that is synced to the bed and allows the user to manage their home from under the covers – without lifting a finger. “We know those 15 to 30 minutes right before bed are so important, as you start to unwind and get ready to sleep,” Curry said. “The partnership with stellé is the first step in positioning DUX as a bedtime concierge that handles everything from dimming the lights and guiding your evening meditation, to changing the temperature for ideal sleeping conditions.”

The seamlessly integrated with technology bed is available in queen, king and California king sizes. Retailing for $4,950 you can purchase the DUX/stellé bed as of May 2019 online and in most DUXIANA stores.
