NYSW Launches Manhattan, SoHo and Times Square Smartwatches

Blending modern functionality and high-end aesthetics, New York Standard Watch partners up with Amazon to launch new collection smartwatches.

A new smartwatch collection by New York Standard Watch (NYSW) was announced today. Blending modern functionality and high-end aesthetics, the timepieces have been designed to meet the daily demands of living and working in a mobile, on-the-go world.

Founded in 1885, New York Standard Watches has a well-established history of designing and manufacturing timeless pieces. In 2006, a new generation of watchmakers and horologists revived the iconic brand for the 21st Century. The latest timepieces that have are being created, capture the classic sophistication of New York City while providing enhanced digital functionality.

The collection, which is made up of the Manhattan, SoHo and Times Square watches, features a classic analogue dial, an Italian leather strap and a Swarovski crystal. Visible features on the dial include a calendar, second hand and three sub-dials. The timepiece also operates via a rechargeable battery that lasts for two weeks on one charge.

Also worth noting is that each NYSW timepiece wirelessly syncs with a users’ smartphone and offers analogue Fitness Dashboard, smartphone Notifications via Haptic Vibration, multiple Daily Reminders for Water and fitness Goal Alerts and Activity Tracking.

On the launch, David Luk, creator of the NYSW collection: “The market continues to demonstrate a demand for hybrid smartwatches, and following our successful Kickstarter fundraised in 2017, we’re proud to now be shipping our unique line to the masses and offer an affordable and unique looking alternative.” Adding: “We’ve partnered with Amazon to ensure that our customers have an accessible platform to purchase our collection, especially as the holiday gifting season approaches.”

Available now, on Amazon, the smartwatches are priced from between $170-$215, depending on the model.
