The Arigato x Samsung Campaign, Recognising Technologies Hand in the Future of Fashion

As exciting as this is, I cannot quite shake the feeling that the whole campaign is a PR stunt fueled by the upcoming fashion week season.

The collaboration between Arigato x Samsung was recently announced. It is a partnership based on the creation of a collection that recognises technologies hand in the future of fashion.

The campaign called ‘I can see clearly now’, is headed by Teyana Taylor and Wooseok Lee. Giving an air of cool, calm and collected, the young millennials fronting the campaign are styled in see-through trousers, a jacket, a bag, accessories, shoes, and the Samsung Galaxy S9. Detail elements of the chosen garments include co-branded zippers, drawstrings and pockets.

When I first heard about this collaboration, I thought great, the two brands are giving a shout out to the merger of fashion with technology, but then straight after that thought, I could not quite shake off the feeling that the whole campaign reeked of a PR stunt fueled by the upcoming fashion week season.

Carrying on, if you are sold on the collection, then you can grab yourself something see-through via Axel Arigato channels. Also its worth noting that a London launch is planned for the 7th September 2018, followed shortly by Stockholm on the 14th, and online from the 17th September 2018.
