7 Smart + Stylish Wearables to Tech Up Your Summer Wardrobe With

Thanks to fashion tech startups you can now own seamless tech devices designed to seamlessly style up your wardrobe this summer.

Gone are the days when wearable devices could easily be described as masculine and unattractive. We now have a choice, and I am not talking about what colour rubber band you should choose. This is thanks to fashion tech startups like Blinq wearables and Bellabeat. They have come up with the kind of seamless tech devices that are not only offering convenience, but they are also designed to style up your look this summer.

BLINQ WEARABLE RINGS

Blinq is a Montreal based startup launched its ring collection in September 2017. With design at the forefront, Blinq brags three core smart ring technology features. The first is notifications. The ring is designed to alert the wearer through vibration or LED Gem-Glow technology. The second is the fitness and activity tracking ability and the third is the SOS distress function, which adds a layer of security and safety for the wearer.

Available in 3 new colours, besides the classic look making a comeback, Snap Inc has introduced three new approachable colours: onyx, ruby, and sapphire. You can also now choose between two Lens shades for each colour. Additionally, they have further miniaturised the electronics, so they’re sleeker and more lightweight. The temple area of the frame, which houses the bulk of the electronics, is about ⅓ smaller. This means that the charging case is smaller too by over 20%.

TOTWOO JEWELLERY

Totwoo smart jewellery has several functions which include automatically calculating your daily walk and consumed calories, UV monitoring, a reminder if you have been inactive for a specified period, a “shining” mode that makes your jewellery bling and the ability to pair up your Totwoo with that someone so messages can be sent by merely tapping the jewellery.

Totwoo Smart Jewellery

The newest collection is the Smart Clover. Featuring a gold and silver pendant, the high-end jewellery has been designed on the concept of “memory”.  This means that the wearer can store precious memories like photos, audio and video clip into the jewellery using the Totwoo app. Also, Totwoo comes in its very own jewellery box with a mirror that doubles as a charger. Place your pendant in its box and plug into a USB outlet to start charging. Your Totwoo will blink red while charging. And it should take 1 hour to charge with the light off fully. The box does have its battery that should last in a month without needing to plug it in. A fully charged box can charge the jewellery about 20 times, and it can even provide around 15% emergency charging for a mobile phone.

Swarg Tech has come up with a smart jewellery product called Sakhī. Pronounced ‘Suhkhee’, the state-of-the-art jewellery for women has been built on offering useful, intelligent features while preserving the fundamental essence of wearing a stylish accessory.

Giving women the freedom of design, one of the great things about Sakhī is that you can customise your bracelet with beads and charms from other brands like Pandora, Chamilia, Baigi and Brighton.
