Muse Smartwatch Invents “Connected” Devices With Integrated Mobile Services And Immersive Experiences

Muse wearables is on a mission to revolutionise the entire quartz watch industry by building AI-powered hybrid smartwatches with data-driven recommendations and services.

Sometimes it feels like we are constantly being bombarded with another ‘new’ smartwatch. So much so that it can be hard to keep track. Some of them are cool, others so-so, and a few of them just get it wrong. That being said, we never tire of hearing about the brand new smartwatch on the block. This time it is a hybrid smartwatch called The Muse.

Using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the Muse can track and organise daily activities like exercise monitoring, nutrition advice, meal planning, sleep information and sun exposure alerts. “We wanted to provide a product that offered the wearers many features and simplified the lives of jet-setters, go-getters and anyone who wanted to maximise their productivity – and we certainly found those people on Kickstarter,” said Muse Founder and CEO Sai Prasanth. “We’re very excited with the support we’ve received from the crowdfunding backers that enabled us to surpass our funding goal in only eight hours – and doubling our campaign goal so early in the campaign.”

The features that caught my eye include the sun UV intensity alerts, NFC payments, the impressive AI-powered mobile app that acts as a personal assistant and the data-driven recommendations and services for users that also include providing restaurant recommendations, goal tracking and mapping support.

“Tech gadgets have a reputation of needing to be maintained, while at the same time lacking in fashion with annoying battery charging requirements,” Prasanth,  an engineering design graduate from IIT Madras, said. “With Muse, we’re providing a solution with a stylish alternative people are looking for in a smartwatch.”

Having already surpassed their €22,040 goal, the startup has so far raised €48,942 on Kickstarter, and they still have 23 days to go. First backers of their campaign will get their hands on a watch that features music and camera control, financial services capabilities as well as personal calendar/alarm and forgotten phone notifications. Uniquely, the Muse also gives users the opportunity to enjoy immersive entertainment experiences via connections to the Muse PlanetWatch platform for gaming fun.
