5. Emma Watson in Calvin Klein
At 2016’s Met Gala, Emma Watson wore a beautiful ensemble from Calvin Klein Collection. The stunning black and white dress was the epitome of sustainable fashion. Made from Newlife fabric, a unique yarn engineered from used plastic bottles sourced, it was processed and spun into yarns in Italy. Every element of her outfit was considered from an ethical perspective – even down to the zippers which were made from recycled plastic.
4. Claire Danes in Zac Posen
Claire Danes looked magnificent in Zac Posen’s Modern take on ManusxMachina: Fashion in an Age of Technology METGala Theme. Channelling Cinderella, Dane’s custom baby blue gown was a gorgeous glow-in-the-dark dress, lined with fibre optics all throughout, highlighting the delicate detailing from the corset to the full skirt and train.

Cate Blanchett wore Iris van Herpen this year’s (2018) Jury President of the Cannes Film Festival. It took the atelier over 300 hours to tailor make this dress for her, that combines laser-cutting and handwork to accomplish the soft three-dimensional leaf-like patterns.
