Startup Kloters Introduce Genderless T-shirt That Cleans Air

Kloters RepAir t-shirt is a revolutionary project that goes beyond the traditional concept of green fashion.

Every year, more than 2 billion t-shirts are sold, so what if you could wear one that could clean our air? Well, Italian startup Kloters have come up with a zero-impact t-shirt that is capable of doing just that.

Kloters is a fashion brand founded three years ago with the purpose of making “Feeling Good” true for all who wear it. All about comfort, style and sustainability, the first collection, which was made of refined cotton products, was presented in June 2015 at Palais de la Bourse in Paris. In 2016 Kloters started to refocus and by 2018 they were ready to launch RepAir, a gender-neutral clothing collection capable of cleaning the air by capturing pollutants.

The New Frontier of “Green Fashion”

Representing a new frontier in fashion and sustainability, the genderless cotton t-shirt cleans the air from pollution. It’s able to do it because of “the Breath®”, a patented material, that captures unpleasant odours and pollutants that include NOx, Sox, and bacteria. Composed of two external printable layers, “theBreath®” cloth is a water-resistant anti-bacterial fabric that encloses an intermediate core.


Made of dioxin absorbent fibre enhanced by nano molecules, the t-shirt challenges the traditional concept of green fashion. It acts virtuously and represents an active way of improving the quality of the air we breathe. Produced in a way that respects the environment, RepAir is a t-shirt that is able to offset the pollution emissions of two cars. Sharing ecology, the more people wear RepAir, the more the world benefits, creating a network effect to reduce a common problem.

Powered by external energy sources, “theBreath®” cloth is a fashion product, with comfort, style and sustainability, Kloters’ values, are at its heart. “We are extremely proud of the result of our efforts. A Tee That Lasts Beyond a Single Season

Available in black and white, the RepAir t-shirts have been created using high-grade cotton that respects the environment. Manufactured in Italy the green t-shirt are a combination of comfort and technology. Silvio Perucca, the creative mind behind Kloters and the brand product and sales manager said: “The biggest challenge of the project was to realize a smart and aesthetically pleasant product, that also seamlessly integrates an innovative technology without affecting elegance, wearability and comfort”.
