Today is day one of Wearable Tech Show at London’s ExCel conference centre. The event, which is in its 3rd year, is dedicated to connected technology and brags 225 speakers, over 140 exhibitors and more than 40 product launches.
With 64 hours of conference programming focusing on the big picture and roadmap for the future, we looked forward to attending the Business Startup theatre and the Tech Lab which is sponsored by Microsoft.
By the end of day one, we had attended many keynotes and indulged in interesting one on one conversations with start-ups, but it was the Wearable Awards 2016 event that stole the attention of many attendees.
Introduced in 2014, the Wearables Awards show recognises excellence in wearables, smart devices, IoT innovation by identifying the best innovators in the market. This year it took place in the afternoon on the main stage were MYZONE, sports performance expert, was named Overall Wearable Winner.
This year the event received over 200 entries across the 11 categories, and 64 companies were shortlisted. With three new awards categories added, Rising Star, IoT Connect and Smart Home, this year’s list of winners include:

On those who won, Wearable Technology Show COO John Weir shared, “Huge congratulations to all of this year’s Wearables Awards winners.
