When you think of luxury British sports car builder Aston Martin, you think of a design that boasts power, beauty and soul, so therefore why should they not build a powerboat too?
The Aston Martin power boats are designed with their ethos of “Power, Beauty and Soul”. This news has not yet been shared on their website, instead we received the news of their plans via a released statement saying, “potential owners of the new Aston Martin powerboat are being given more details of the new project on a strictly confidential one-to-one basis.” The ‘7 series’, 37 foot long luxurious speedboat will be available in two versions, the AM37 and the AM37 S and should be debuting at the end of 2015″.
Besides the design expectations running high, the luxury power boats will be fully packed with the latest tech on board. With high expectations on order, can we expect the new Apple Watch to jump on board and create an app that will be able to control the powerboat? Imagine, a high-definition touchscreen navigation, a multimedia system, interactive voice control and other remote controlled functions.
HQ’ed in the Netherlands, the CEO of Quintessence Yachts, Mariella Mengozzi says: “The Aston Martin Design department has been working seamlessly with the Quintessence R&D unit and Mulder Design in Amsterdam to achieve a true example of design purity.”
Also, Katia Bassi, MD of Aston Martin Brands, stated: “Over the course of our 102-year history Aston Martin has produced some of the most iconic luxury sports cars of all time. Our contemporary designs retain classic lines whilst delivering the latest technical innovations and the exciting range of luxury speed boats we are developing with Quintessence Yachts reflects this commitment to excellence in every field, as well as perfectly encapsulating our ‘Art of Living’ philosophy.” No information has been released about the price yet but once we have our test run invitation in, we will be ready to share it here.
