Just Annouced, Acer has brought to market their latest wrist must have.

It was not so long ago when Acer introduced us to Liquid Leap, a rubber smartband with a one inch touchscreen that was designed to track our steps, fitness, calories and sleep times. With the fast moving advancement of the wearable tech industry, it has barely been a year later and Acer are already introducing us to their follow-up smartband, the Acer Liquid Leap+. The Liquid Leap+ is a fairly basic fitness tracker similar to Garmin, Microsoft and Samsung.

Available in a variety of colours, Acer’s Liquid Leap+ communicates over low-energy Bluetooth 4.0, is IPX7-certified water resistant and will convert your data to approximate your daily calorie burn.

What we love is that there is no physical buttons visible, giving it a sleek look that allows you to swipe through notifications, and control your music. Compatible with iOS, Android and Windows Phone, it is available at a very competitive price of €79 ($88).

On sale later this month, it is most certainly a cheaper alternative that will not have you digging too deep into your pockets. In our opinion, we are not sure whether we would adorn it ourselves but it will definitely make a great gift for tech savvy kids who love the idea of changing their Liquid Leap+ straps on a whim. On that note we cannot wait to trial it, watch this space!
