Consumers are cutting the cord. Nielsen and GfK studies have found that with many household’s are abandoning the traditional television set in favour of online streaming services.
The advantage of the switch is that the advancement of this technology has helped cut household bills, allowing many people to reduce or even eliminate their pay for TV subscription.
GfK have reported that 20% of all TV viewers in the US now own a Roku box, Chromecast stick or similar. With time, I am sure that the cords that connect us to the world of television will soon be permanently banished into the past like our old friend, the black and white television set.
