The selfie stick is a monopod used to take selfie photographs by positioning a smartphone or camera beyond the normal range of the arm. The metal sticks are typically extensible, with a handle on one end and an adjustable clamp on the other end to hold a phone in place.

This is a device that I simply cannot imagine sticking around for long. Like Von Dutch people will be fascinated for only a moment before moving onto something worthy of their hard earned cash. If you really must have one, I suggest making it yourself Blue Peter style. It cannot be that difficult, it is a pole with a camera clamp at the end of it after all.

For those who simply must have one, you will be happy to know that some of the sticks do have bluetooth and others come with mirrors, yes thats right mirrors, just so we can love ourselves that little bit more.

With RRP between $10 – $50. I would advise that you invest in a more pricier selfie stick, because the flimsy ones are sure to cost you your precious phone should they fall apart. Note that if I see you on the street pouting and posing with your selfie stick, I will most definitely roll my eyes, as I strut by.
