I think it is about time that the fashion tech industry came up with decent gadgets for women that will actually give us what we want. Enough of the pretty in pink blingy devices that are supposed to tempt us to the glitter side, because not all of us are tempted by the sparkle.
The good news, Bellabeat has been listening. They are a company that is breaking boundaries by providing smart solutions that will improve every woman’s life. Bellabeat has come up with The Leaf. Although not yet available, The Leaf has already earned Bellabeat $1.2 million in revenue and they currently have 65,000 pre-order sales.
One of the Leaf’s great feature concentrates in an area that many health trackers have ignored, allowing women to track their own reproductive health. This extra feature makes the Leaf an invaluable device for those wanting to conceive. The Leaf will monitor and notify you about your ovulation, contraceptive intake and incoming period. Some could argue, that there are already a lot of apps out there that do that but this device does this and much more like track activities, steps, calories burned and even sleep.
Bellabeat co-founder Urška Sršen says “We have gained substantial interest from our customers that are far from the tech-savvy San Francisco crowd, and that proved us that wearables have a huge product/market fit outside of fitness and activity tracking alone.”
Bellabeat will be introducing later this year The Leaf, The Shell which is perfect for expecting mothers and lets mums hear their baby’s heartbeat, later the device will identify your baby’s cries, play music, and serve as a home monitoring system that tracks temperature and humidity and then there is the third device the Balance which is a smart scale.
