H&M x Kenzo’s Vibrant Spirit Tech Styled

The powers-that-be at H&M definitely have their finger on the pulse of what is going. For a while now they have been successfully making sure that their label is seen as more than just another fast fashion high street brand.

Great examples H&M include partnering up with UAL’s LCF students on a project all about sustainability within the fashion industry and H&M investing in Swedish digital brand Ivyrevel. When it comes to the latest designer collaboration, the high street brand has joined forces with French fashion house Kenzo. With the luxury label’s Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon at the helm, it is a partnership that promises to be another lucrative sell-out collaboration.

Which brings us to the question of who doesn’t love H&M’s designer collaborations? They make designer both accessible and affordable (relatively). In the past, some of the most anticipated collections have been with fashion labels like Maison Margiela and Alexander Wang. Our favourite collab to date is H&M x Balmain. In our eyes, the striking collection definitely lived up to the hype, so much so that our #WearableTechStylist got the urge to style the popular collab with the latest wearable tech.

This time round it is no different, we are again in awe of a collection that unashamedly celebrates Kenzo’s vibrant spirit. On the clashing assortment of bold colors, textures, silhouette and patterns Humberto Leon told Vogue in a May 2016 interview, “What Kenzo Takada began was so revolutionary; it’s what attracted us to the brand to begin with. The idea is to celebrate where he began and where we’ve taken it—not only the archive of what he did but what we’ve worked on. We’re taking a look at how the two can merge in a true conversation.”

Picking our four favourite looks from both womenswear and menswear, we tech styled them with the kind of tech that confidently marries well with H&M and Kenzo’s style. The tech we handpicked was made up of cool hearables The Dash by Bragi, trendy smart ring by Oura, handsome tech bag by Slaint and sleek smart glasses by Intel x Luxottica.  To get the H&M x Kenzo look you will have to wait until Thursday 3rd November 2016, but if it is the tech that you crave, then look no further than our EDITS.

The KENZO x H&M collection will be available in around 270 selected stores worldwide and online at www.hm.com
