Apple Launch Event: What to Expect and When to Expect it!

Apple Inc. has sent out invites last week for their yearly iPhone centered event. It’s safe to conclude that Apple will announce their new iPhone 7 and 7s smartphones along with the Apple Watch 2. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 7th at 10:00 am at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. So what should you expect and when should you expect it?

As per usual, this yearly returning circus always attracts a traditional build up of rumors and (sometimes deliberately) leaked information. And this year is no different. There has been photos on the internet of 3.5mm jack ports disappearing, which naturally caused quite an uproar among Apple fans. This is most likely because many feel that they are being hustled into a trade off (a slimmer iPhone) that they are not willing to make. If the new iPhone 7, which is rumored to have the same design, is going to use a new lightning port to send audio signals and charge the phone it might make it impossible to do both at the same time.

But interestingly, this could also assume a completely different direction that the Cupertino based tech giant is taking. There has also been rumors that the new iPhone might come with Hearables– only to be included with some iPhone models. These are small wearable tech devices that fit in your ear. They have the potential to spark excitement over Apple diversifying it’s wearable tech offering. Basically making it means that Apple could offer a complete new line of features only seen in wearable tech brands like Bragi. According to some, these so called ‘Airpods‘ would offer Bluetooth connectivity, immediately taking away concerns of a worsening user experience of the iPhone 7.

Besides upgrades like iPhone 7/7s models with 256GB capacity storage, the phone is expected to have a 12 megapixel dual camera with better zoom capabilities. The redesigned home button should diverse the aesthetics of the smart phone which is expected to be released on the 16th September 2016.

As for the Apple Watch 2

We have always said it here at FashNerd.com, that we will learn to love the Apple Watch. This time round we are preparing ourselves for a disappointment. In contrast to the iPhone, design wise, when it comes to the Apple Watch 2 we would love to have a sleeker version. As long as sleeker doesn’t immediately mean a lower battery life! The Apple Watch will most likely probably end up with the same design, but internally it might be better organized. It will likely end up with longer battery life and better performance. A new GPS chip will offer a more independent user experience, away from the iPhone. Making it easier to do your workouts and enjoy other GPS features. This could basically be seen as an update just like an iPhone S update. We expect the Apple Watch to be released with the new iPhones.

A New MacBook Pro?

There have been reports of multiple, separate leaks from ‘usually-reliable sources’ of Apple releasing a new, thinner MacBook Pro with an OLED touch screen panel. It is very unlikely that they will announce it at this Wednesdays’ event. Although it wouldn’t be the first time that we would be offered a peek into what is to come, even when the actual release might take a few months.

You can watch the event on Apple.com which starts on the 7th of September at 10am PDT. For UK viewers 18pm GMT. The live stream is available via a dedicated channel on the Apple TV set-top box or the Safari browser on OS X (10.8.5 and above) and IOS devices (iOS 7 and above). Windows 10 users can watch in the Microsoft Edge browser.
