Girl Tech Fest, When ESTEAM Worlds Collide

Girl Tech Fest looks to explore the worlds of digital technology, science, and the arts.

In celebration of International Girls in ICT Day, on 30th April 2016 in Brussels the Digital Leadership Institute will carry out its first-ever Digital Muse Girl Tech Fest. The event aims to increase participation of girls in ESTEAM (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) studies and careers through hands-on workshops at the intersection of creative and digital endeavor.

Looking to inspire 250 girls, ages 11 to 15 years, Girl Tech Fest looks to explore the worlds of digital technology, science, and the arts. So if you are or know a girl aged between 11 and 15 years old who would like to learn how to build their own smartphone app, create a 3D hologram, try their hand at 3D printing, program a robot to dance and demo the latest Virtual Reality devices then this all-day event could be right up their street.

Being held at the European School Brussels IV in Laken,  GirlTechFest is a great opportunity for girls to meet fascinating women role models from tech and creative fields whilst also participating in hands-on workshops carried out in Dutch, French and English.
