Brides are all about “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”, isn’t it about time the saying included “something tech”?
J’adore smart jewellery. Why? Because I love the idea of beautifully created gems that are interactive with the modern world.
The Memento Pearl is all about making memories wearable. They make the perfect accessory for brides looking to personally record special moments throughout their day. Each pearl is individually carved and handcrafted by award winning master of jewellery designer Chi Huynh. The tech is in the NFC chip, which is embedded in the cultured pearl that stores all your most precious moments.
The Momento Pearl is all about combining elegant design with 21st century technology. So how does it work? Well you first have to download the app and once that is done, a simple tap of your jewellery to the mobile device will then enable you to access all your most precious moments. These moments are digital content stored as audio, images or videos.
The featured jewellery is a yellow gold 11 millimeter hand carved Black Tahitian pearl set in 14k gold and .72 carat diamonds suspended from 14k Wheat chain. With an ‘I love you so much’ price tag of $3,175, it is part of a 63 piece collection of pendants, earrings and rings. On the collection Huynh says, “despite its high-tech interface, the real interest in the Momento Pearl lies in its ability to summon a voice, memory and emotion”.
Having run a successful Kickstarter campaign, where they requested $50k and managed to raise a pledge of $52.2k, the future of Memento Pearl seems bright. So if you are a bride with tech on her mind, then you can shop the wearable tech at Momento Pearl and the look at Net-A-Porter.
